Essential Trustee Training (ETT) This 12-hour program is delivered in 3 parts, and is a complete curriculum of the administration duties and legal responsibilities for the Board of Trustees of a Fire Protection District.
Continuing Trustee Education (CTE), These one-day programs are held in 4 areas of the State during the months of January-March. These sessions bring our members legal updates that address recent legislation, OMA and FOIA requirements., along with agency updates from IFSI and OSFM. Each CTE program meets the 3-hour "continuing education" requirement in compliance with PA 95-0799.
Annual Conference brings education, exhibits, and special events together for a weekend of learning and networking. Educational programs are selected based on the ever changing duties of Fire Protection Districts and their officials, and are offered for not only trustees, but Chiefs and personnel as well. At the conference, you will find ample opportunity to earn Continuing Education credits for those who have previously completed the 3-Part Essential Trustee Training, which is presented based on the needs of our members.
