Essential Trustee Training (ETT) is being presented in Addison,

In addition to providing trustees with the information needed to meet the challenges of administering a fire district, the ETT Program is 3-part legal training that allows additional compensation for paid trustees who complete the program under Public Act 95-0799. Each part of the training is 4 hours in length. Trustees who have completed all three parts will be mailed a completion certificate signed by the OSFM.
DOs & DON'Ts For Fire Protection District Treasurers

This presentation centers around the annual “financial life cycle” of the district and considers the budget & appropriation process, determination of the district’s tax levy, and required financial reporting and record keeping by the treasurer. Practical suggestions and recommendations to make the job of the treasurer more efficient and less burdensome are also discussed.
All IAFPD webinars are eligible for 1 hour of CE for those who have completed the 12 Hour ETT program in accordance with PA 95-0799.
