Applications are invited for the position of Director of the Illinois Fire Service Institute. Under direction from campus executives, the Illinois Fire Service Institute Act, Gubernatorial Executive Order and other relevant legislation or Executive Order, the Director will lead the University of Illinois Fire Service Institute as the State of Illinois Fire Academy. This position is a 100% full-time, benefits-eligible Academic Professional position.

Administration Training Sessions – 2012 Schedule & Registration

Do You Need Continuing Education Hours? The session is pre-approved for 3 hours of continuing education requirement in compliance with Advanced Trustee Training in compliance with Public Act 95-0799

Assistance to Firefighters Grants Applicants Changes to AFG Awards Procedures

We want to advise all FY 2011 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) applicants of important changes that have been made to the AFG awards procedures. Everyone Goes Home ®  is a National Fallen Firefighters program everyone is hearing and learning more about.  The IAFPD has been involved on a statewide effort to create awareness, educate and adopt the 16 Life Safety Initiatives.  The goal of the Illinois task force is to get all fire departments to adopt these standard and/or resolution and work together on improving the safety of firefighters across the state.  Please take a moment to read and share the attached information with your fellow members.
