Memo: New IDPH Rules Regarding Face Coverings and Gathering Limitations

This memo provides guidance for fire protection districts at this time regarding face coverings mandated by new COVID-19 emergency rules which were upheld by the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) on August 11, 2020

New testing protocols from IDPH will allow testing for first responders with or without symptoms.  Please consider having your firefighters tested, a link to current testing sites can be found at: https://dph.illinois.gov/testing

COVID-19 Cost Recovery for Fire and EMS
These unprecedented times have challenged Fire and EMS agencies to respond to the challenges from COVID-19. With these challenges come financial strain, the increased need for personnel, facilities, equipment, supplies and apparatus utilization. Due to the Presidential Declaration of Disaster, Fire and EMS agencies are eligible for reimbursement through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Public Assistance Program.
