Chief Bashoor is the FireRescue1 and Fire Chief Executive Editor. He has served 37 years in emergency services, and is currently the Highlands County, Florida, public safety director. Chief Bashoor spent six years as chief of the Prince George’s County, Maryland, Fire/EMS Department and five years as emergency manager in Mineral County, West Virginia. Chief Bashoor assisted the NFPA with fire service missions in Brazil and China, and has presented at many industry conferences and trade shows.

Deputy Chief Bouvier is a true Louisiana Cajun from New Orleans, LA, and has been actively involved in EMS since 1975. Bouvier is a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic and serves as the Deputy Chief of Operations for New Orleans EMS. He serves as the EMS Commander for most major events including Mardi Gras and previous Super Bowls in New Orleans and command with Orleans EMS and Mutual Aid Ambulances following Hurricane Katrina. He also is responsible for managing the cast and sometimes appears on the A&E Television show Nightwatch.

Essential Trustee Training (ETT)
In addition to providing trustees with the information needed to meet the challenges of administering a fire district, the ETT Program is 3-part legal training that allows additional compensation for paid trustees who complete the program under Public Act 95-0799. Each part of the training is 4 hours in length. Trustees who have completed all three parts will be mailed a completion certificate signed by the OSFM.
ETT Part 1 - Fire District Organization & Administration (June 18, 8am-Noon)
