Ralph Martire is the Executive Director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability (“CTBA”), a bipartisan 501©(3) think-tank committed to ensuring that state, federal and local workforce, education, fiscal, economic and budget policies are fair and just, and promote opportunity for all, regardless of race, ethnicity or income class. He is also the Rubloff Professor of Public Policy at Roosevelt University. Ralph has received numerous awards for his work on education policy reform and is also a regular columnist on education, fiscal and economic policy for the State Journal Register, the Daily Herald, and The News Gazette.

Rob joined Pierce in July 2017, after a 24 year career in the NFL both as a long snapper (14) and front office executive with the Green Bay Packers as director of player engagement (10). He had the privilege of observing strong leadership through his many coaches, teammates and senior executives NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Green Bay Packers President Mark Murphy just to name a few. Rob also holds a Master’s degree in leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Mike Fagel: Active Shooter Incidents
When he began his career in 1979, ideas like active shooter, complex coordinated attacks, and domestic terrorism weren’t even on the table. Then, the Oklahoma City bombing occurred on April 19, 1995. Fagel was called in to help. When the twin towers at the World Trade Center fell on September 11, 2001, Fagel spent three months working at ground zero. After a gunman opened fire at Northern Illinois University on February 14, 2008, Fagel, again, was part of the team that worked in the aftermath of the tragedy. “Using nearly four decades of experience in emergency management and emergency operations, Fagel, founder of Aurora Safety, is a top expert in the field and published his fourth book in December 2013.
