Annual Golf Outing and Trap Shoot Help Raise Funds for
Scholarship Program Practices

The IAFPDs Annual Golf and Trap Shoot Outing were held on Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the beautiful Edgewood Golf Course and Trap Shoot Club in Auburn, Illinois. More than 68 golfers played in the event which benefited the Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts Scholarship Fund. Foursomes competed in a scramble for-mat and prizes were awarded for lowest score, longest drive, longest putt, and closest to pin. In addition, a par three betting hole was offered with all proceeds going directly to the IAFPD Scholarship Fund.

This event could not have bee possible without the support received from those who sponsored the continental breakfast, lunch, bever-age cart, and holes. The IAFPD truly appreciates your generosity. We would also like to thank those who planned, volunteered and par-ticipated in the event. Without you this event would not have been possible.

With sincere appreciation to all those involved, the IAFPD will be adding more than $4,000 to their Scholarship Fund and we look for-ward to next year being bigger and better! If you have a suggestion regarding these events, please feel free to pass them along to us.
