On Wednesday, September 29, 2004, Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), along with cosponsor Senator John D. Rockefeller (D-WV), introduced the Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act of 2004 in the Senate. Today the bill was identified as S 2860. This bill is the Senate companion bill to HR 1824, the Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act of 2003, which has very strong support by members of the House.
NFSA is in the process of expanding the CapWiz link of the NFSA website at www.nfsa.org with a boilerplate method and link enabling letters of support to be sent directly to senators. It will be very similar to what is presently available for HR 1824 and should be available within the next few days. In the meantime, please contact your legislators in Washington DC and seek their support of both of these two very important life and property protection initiatives.
